Aizlewood summed up Town’s successful afternoon’s work. "Half time 2-0 up very, very pleased with the first 45 minutes. Second half I don’t think that we did anything necessarily different form the first half apart from the fact that the opposition had nothing to lose and flooded people forward. But during that 20 minute spell after the break I felt that we dealt with it reasonably comfortable".

“What we asked the defence to do when they got the ball was instead of threading balls through and drop balls to feet to put it behind the opposition defence”.

“They were trying to do that but whether it was tired legs or a bit of a pudding of a pitch we were clearing our line but not clearing big enough or far enough to get behind their defence.

"Obviously they get the goal which puts you on edge a bit but with the quality that we’ve got and the fitness levels within the squad I always felt that we were going to get another chance and that proved to be the case".

"I thought there were some absolutely massive performances. Nicky Palmer, Paul Fowler, Liam Hancock were probably the best of a very, very good bunch first half. Second half everyone did their bit".
