Describing the win over Porthmadog the Richmond Park boss told Y Dre ar Y We, “Over the 90 minutes it was quite a convincing win. I felt we were always in control, even when we were one nil down. Again we’ve shown good character to bounce back and we did need to get to terms with the very windy weather conditions which probably hampered us a little bit.

“Whilst I felt we were always on top it was a case of getting in front. Once we got in front the boys didn’t look back and pushed on. The only slightly disappointing aspect was that we didn’t go on and win by more because we did have the opportunities.

“I’m really very proud of the players. They have done tremendously well over the last five weeks to keep their focus, to keep the hunger and to get what we really want.

“We spoke after the TNS game that we were in with a chance, with our form, to win five games on the trot. None of the teams that we were going to be playing were going to scare us and it was a case of whether we could do the job.

“And like the old cliché we have taken them one game at a time and it’s absolutely fantastic we’ve got fifteen points. I can’t speak highly enough of the squad because that’s what its been over the five games; its been a real squad based thing and the lads deserve all the credit they’ve won.

Looking to the busy holiday period Brace added, “The games over the holiday come in quick succession so obviously we need a fit, injury free, suspension free squad. At the moment we’ve got a few players picking up niggles but it’s that time of the season.

“The good thing is we enter Christmas and we’re still in the mix. We need to make sure that when we come out in the New Year we’re still in there. We need to make sure that we take as many points as possible to keep us in the hunt. It’s that old cliché again every game is important, every game is vital and every point is crucial.

“The players have to handle the pressure of each game being vital; being important we can’t be beaten like that. We need to become hardened, a bit more streetwise, we need to do what the top clubs do if we want to become one of them. We need to keep as focused as we have been over the last five weeks.
