12.02.09 Carmarthen Town v Bangor City

Deryn Brace tells 'Y Dre ar Y We' that his side will have to be at the top of their game to beat Bangor City on Saturday.

The current Welsh Cup holders are on a good run and recently knocked league leaders Rhyl out of the Welsh Cup. On Tuesday night the Citizens scored a narrow win over Tomi Morgan’s Porthmadog and are now two points ahead of Town in fourth position having played one game more.

The Citizens have a potent strike force, with Chris Sharpe currently the league's second highest scorer with 19 goals and Les Davies with nine. Brace feels Nev Powell's outfit will present a considerable challenge.

"It's going to be very interesting. Obviously they've picked up form and had some good wins of late.

"There's only a couple of points between us so it's a case of both teams don't really want to lose it. They gave us a real thumping up at their place. I'd like to think that the boys want to roll their sleeves up and say 'you got us on a bad day'. Saturday will tell.

"They're a great side who are going well, but we can't fear them. We know they've got two of the best front runners in the league and the rest of the side isn't bad either.

"So all round they haven't got many, if any, weaknesses. To give them a game we're going to have to be on top of ours."
